The United States of America took responsibility over the targeting and killing of Iran’s top army commander, General Qassem Suleimani, in a strike ordered by Trump during the early hours of Friday, 2nd January 2020. The General was in a convoy of the Popular Mobilisation Forces (PMF) and was being driven from the Bagdad airport.
And ever since, Tehran threatens not to let go of what they described as “dangerous and foolish mistake by America.”
But should they go ahead to carry out their threat in a way America will regret their action as they claimed, what next? Well for the US, the response is going to be simple, swift and hard.
This is contained in a statement issued by Trump himself when he said: “Iran is talking very boldly about targeting certain USA assets as revenge for our ridding the world of their terrorist leader who had just killed an American and badly wounded many others, not to mention all of the people he had killed over his lifetime, including recently hundreds of Iranian protesters.
“He was already attacking our embassy and preparing for additional hits in other locations.
“Iran has been nothing but problems for many years. Let this serve as a warning that if Iran strikes any Americans, or American assets, we have targeted 52 Iranian sites (representing the 52 American hostages taken by Iran many years ago), some at a very high level and important to Iran and the Iranian culture, and those targets, and Iran itself, will be hit very fast and very Hard. The USA wants no more threats!”
This is serious and is considered even more serious by Trump who believes that America will not hesitate using the most beautiful latest military hardware they have managed to procure on Iran should Tehran attempt doing something funny. In one of his tweets early Sunday morning, Trump boasts that: “the United States just spent Two Trillion Dollars on Military Equipment. We are the biggest and by far the BEST in the world! If Iran attacks an American Base, or any American, we will be sending some of that brand new beautiful equipment their way…and without hesitation!”
What this could mean for the rest of us in the long run is in fact what both countries have probably not bothered about!
